The company is headquartered in London. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituency of the FTSE 250 Index. Millennium & amp; Copthorne Hotels operates the Millennium hotel chain, Copthorne, and Kingsgate.

Histori
The origin of the Group dates to 1972 when British Caledonian Airways acquired the Copthorne Hotel in Copthorne, West Sussex, near Gatwick. Copthorne Hotels brand was launched in 1985.
In 1989, Singapore-based CDL Hotels International acquired 6 hotels in Asia. In 1993, CDL made its first move outside Asia - purchasing 548 rooms Gloucester Hotel and The Bailey Hotel in London. In the same year, CDL took over a network of 13 hotels in New Zealand. In 1994, CDL entered the United States with the purchase of Millennium Hilton in New York and acquired Millennium Broadway in New York's Times Square district in December.
In 1995, CDL Hotels acquired Copthorne Hotels and the company enlarged into Millennium & amp; Copthorne Hotels. The company was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1996.
In 1999, the company acquired Regal Hotels in the United States and in 2001 expanded to the Middle East with some guaranteed management contracts in the United Arab Emirates. The first of six new hotels in China opened in 2008.
In 2015, the group announced 4 new hotels to open in Dubai. Still in 2015, the group's financial results declined slightly as disturbing events affected tourism around the world that led to the resignation of its CEO, Aloysius Lee.
In February 2018, Millennium & amp; Copthorne Hotel acquired the Waterfront hotel in New Zealand.
