Bahia Grand Panama (formerly Trump International Hotel & Tower Panama , and before that Trump Ocean Club or Trump Ocean Club International Hotel and Tower ) is the construction of a 70-storey condominium tower, 2,500,000 sqÃ, ft (230,000 m 2 ) in Panama City, Panama, in the Punta PacÃÆ'fica region. Opened in 2011 as the first international development of Trump Organization. At 70 stories, it is the tallest building in Panama.

Build
The project was designed by the architect of Colombia Arias - Serna - Saravia SA This includes five star hotels out of 369 units of condominium hotels, 700 units of residential condominiums, 1500 parking spaces, retail stores, 75,000 square feet (7,000 m 2 ) the casino is operated by Sun International, a private beach club, daily ferry service to the Pearl Islands, yacht club and pier, health spa, gym, pool deck, meeting and event space, and business center.
This 13-floor base is topped by a tower that resembles the Burj Al Arab, a hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; prior to its completion, the developer requested a preemptive order against lawsuits by Jumeirah Group on the similarity.
When built, the tower is the tallest building in Latin America; in 2008 remains the highest in Central America.

History
The building was developed by Trump Organization Donald Trump and Roger Khafif, President of K Group, Panama resort developer. The hotel opened on July 6, 2011. In September 2011, Fitch Ratings lowered $ 220 million in bonds used by Newland International Properties Corp. to finance the construction of the building from B-sf to CCsf due to "ongoing uncertainty of willingness and ability" of buyers to take apartment units.
Newland licensed the name Trump; the hotel is the first international Trump development that opened. The Trump Organization manages the hotel under contract until March 2018, when Cypriot businessman Orestes Fintiklis, who has purchased a majority stake in the condo hotel association, officially overthrew them and dumped the Trump name. The tower was renamed The Bahia Grand Panama.
On March 22, Panama law firm, Britton and Iglesias petitioned Panama President Juan Carlos Varela to intervene and restore the Trump Organization's management team.
