Nissan QR engine

The QR family of inline-4 piston engines by Nissan was introduced in 2000 and ranges from 2.0 Ã, L to 2.5 L L in displacement. These motors are aluminum, dual overhead camshafts (DOHC), four valve designs with variable valve timings and optional direct injection.

QR20DE

The 2.0Ã, L (1998Ã, cc) QR20DE produces 147Ã, hp (110Ã, kW) and 148 Ã, Â £ Ã, Â · ft (200 NÃ, Â · m) with stroke 80.3 mm and compression ratio 9.9: 1. [1] The QR20DE is replaced by MR20DE.

QR25DE

The QR25DE is a 2.5a, L (2488Ã, cc) variant constructed with a cast steel connecting rod, steel timing chain, reversing axle balance, and aluminum intake manifold. The boring machine is 89 mm with a stroke of 100 mm and the compression ratio starts from 9.5: 1 to 10.5: 1 depending on the vehicle.

Output rated 175 hp (130 kW) at 6000 rpm with 180 lbÃ, Â · ft (244 Ã, Â ° C) torque at 4000 rpm in Altima 2.5 and SE-R models. The Altimas that meets the PZEV standard produce 170 hp (130 kW) and 175 lb torque? Ft (237Ã, N? M). [3] In the 2005 Nissan Frontier, the QR25DE produced 152 hp (113 kW) and 171 lb of torque? 2007 QR25DE

The revised QR25DE was found in 2007 Sentra, Altima, Rogue, etc. Has a number of improvements over the older QR25DE. These include:

• The simpler, the larger the intake manifold intake path diameter replaces the old double track design. (Note: California's emission model has a swirling control valve located in the intake)
• The revised shape of the piston crown to support a higher compression ratio of 9.6: 1. (10.5: 1 in SE-R Spec V Centers)
• The balancing system has been moved back slightly from the crank pulley to a more centric location on the block.
• Updated pivot cam profile.
• Reinforced connecting rod.
• Reduces possible friction through extensive use of Nissan coatings on pistons, journaling pads, etc.
• Additional engine mounted on top of motor, side of pulley.
• Higher rev limit and increased power output.

QR25DD

The QR25DD is similar to QR25DE but increases the compression ratio to 10.5: 1 and includes direct injection. It produces 170 hp (125 kW) and 181 lbÃ, Â · ft (245 Ã, Â ° C). [5]

QR25DER

The QR25DER is similar to QR25DE but has a supercharger for increased power and is coupled with a 15 kW electric motor, a Dual Clutch System, and a lithium-ion battery to improve fuel efficiency. The engine has a compression ratio of 9.1: 1 and produces a combined 250 hp (190 kW) at 5600 rpm and 243 lb ft (329 N m) at 3600 rpm.
