The House at 12 West Water Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts is a rare local example of the Second Imperial home. The wooden frame house was built around 1860, and has two complete stories, and a third under the mansard's roof. These are three wide bays, with wide double entrances, and a front porch with elaborately decorated poles. The house was probably built by Cyrus Wakefield, owner of the Wakefield Rattan Company, and sold to company employees. The next owner is George Cox, owner of a pool room downtown.
The house was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
