Frontier Communications of Connecticut , also known as The Southern New England Telephone Company (usually referred to as SNET by its subscribers), is a locally owned exchange operator by Frontier Communications.

History

It began operations on January 27, 1878 as the New Haven District Telephone Company. It was the founder of the first telephone exchange, as well as the first telephone book in the world.
