The Brick House on the Pike is a historic house located in Ellicott City, Howard County, Maryland, United States. This is a two-story, side-passage, double-pile house built in two phases, a brick structure built by Caleb Dorsey replacing the wooden structure when he bought the property in the late 18th century, and more. a formal section built by his son Charles Worthington Dorsey circa 1817. Also on the property and contemporary with the main house is the foundation of an ice house, a stone cage or carriage house and three additional board-and-batted buildings dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The early Federal features of the house were essentially untouched in the changes that took place around 1907, and remained intact. Edward Hammond did this modernization after being given the house as a wedding gift by his wife's father, Reubena Rogers. Electricity, central heat, and a spacious front porch were added, and the roof of the older part of the house was raised, creating a second floor full of roof windows. Public water, sewage, gas, and utility modernization were completed between 1995 and 2009 by Dr. Edward Rogers, a direct descendant of Caleb Dorsey. Previous owners, the Lassotovitch, Hammond, Ligon, and Dorsey families are all related. Governor Thomas Watkins Ligon (1810-1881) from Maryland stayed at home, after marrying Dorsey, before they moved to White Hall, nearby.

The Brick House on the Pike is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
