Arizona Western College ( AWC ) is a public community college located in Yuma, Arizona, United States. AWC also offers classes in San Luis, Arizona, Somerton, Arizona, Wellton, Arizona, Dateland, Arizona and La Paz, Arizona.

Academics
Arizona Western College offers approximately 98 academic programs that lead to the award of a job certificate or A.A., A.Bus., A.S., A.G.S., or A.A.S. level. Students graduating from West Arizona can easily transfer to one of three Arizona universities in the country governed by the Arizona Board of Trustees, including: Arizona State University, University of Arizona or Northern Arizona University.

On-Campus Housing
Arizona Western College is one of the few colleges in the United States that offers housing on campus. The main campus has three residential halls that accommodate up to 348 residents.
Leadership and Student Activities
AWC has more than 50 clubs and organizations ranging from math, music, athletics, to culinary clubs and chess.
Athletics
The AWC athletics teams compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), and the Western States Football League (WSFL) and are collectively known as Matadors.
Team Arizona Western College Matadors 8 inter teams, four for men and four for women. Sports men in Arizona Western include baseball, soccer, basketball, and soccer. The Matador ladies compete in basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Basketball, baseball and soccer teams have produced many professional athletes such as Leonard Thompson, Crawford Ker, Rafael Araujo, Bengie Molina, Sergio Romo, and Nate Archibald. In 2014, Matadors won the El Toro Bowl to finish the season with a 11-1 record.
