Frontpage campaign is a low election campaign used in American politics where candidates remain close or at home to deliver speeches to visiting supporters. Candidates are mostly not traveling or actively campaigning. The successful campaign of James A. Garfield's president in 1880, Benjamin Harrison in 1888 and William McKinley in 1896 was probably the most famous front-porch campaign.

Candidates opposing McKinley, William Jennings Bryan, gave over 600 speeches and traveled miles across the United States to campaign, but McKinley defeated this by spending about twice as much campaign money. While McKinley was in Canton, Ohio, at home doing his "front porch campaign", Mark Hanna came out gathering millions to help the campaign.

Another president who has been known for his front-porch campaign is Warren G. Harding during the 1920 presidential election.

This concept is still used in American politics, and was used in June 2008 by US Senator Jeff Sessions to portray his low subordinate offer in primary Republic of Alabama, where he received 92 percent of the vote.

Kampanye McKinley

Throughout the presidential campaign of 1896, McKinley spoke to more than 700,000 supporters in front of his home in Canton. This speech began as an organized meeting between McKinley and delegates from across the nation. While it is expensive for a campaign to bring this delegation, all of these, this idea becomes a good strategy because of the publicity it generates. In addition, due to the fact that McKinley's campaign selects those who will travel as part of the delegation, it is possible to make those who speak describe McKinley positively.
