History
In June 2015, Hong Kong Land and Taft Properties have officially announced their intention to develop a 20-hectare development, called "Mandani Bay", "Mandani" derived from the pre-colonial name of Mandaue City, and "Bay" from the edge location clear sea. Although the project was announced in mid-2015, ground work began in early February 2014, when the property's location was fenced off. The entire property is expected to be completed in "10 to 15 years" time starting in 2016, when the first building inside the property, Mandani Bay Suites, was launched.
