Lumension Security, Inc. is now a part of IT software company, Ivanti. Lumension products include endpoint management and security software providing endpoint protection, vulnerability management, data protection, application whitelisting, encryption, USB security and risk management. Lumension is largely focused on providing IT security to organizations and businesses.

In 2017 Lumension was part of the merger of LANDESK and HEAT Software to create an entirely new IT Software company called Ivanti. Today the Lumension products are an important part of the Ivanti security software.

Lumension (now part of Ivanti) was founded as High Tech Software in 1991, the company was rebranded as PatchLink Corporation in 1999 and then adopted the Lumension name in 2007. In 2015 Frontrange and Lumension combined to create HEAT Software. And then in 2017, HEAT and LANDESK combined to created Ivanti.

Lumension products traditionally competed in the endpoint management and security industry against Sophos, McAfee, Kaspersky Lab, Symantec and Trend Micro among others.
